A few tidbits from my Easter sermon…
— the Easter story shows us how life finds a way, in the midst of betrayal… abandonment … doubt … fear. The story doesn’t end with Judas’ betrayal or Peter’s denial or the disciples huddled in fear … it ends in life.
— think of how grasses, moss and even trees find a way to grow in the crevices of rocks. Life finds a way.
— Jesus is our rock. He’s steady enough for us to rest on, trustworthy enough for us to build on. He’s strong enough to roll away the stone that sealed the tomb. All we need to be is the grass, rooted and growing in God’s love.
