To enhance learning during Sunday School, all children and youth will experience a variety of activities that accommodates the unique blend of natural skills of each individual, such as musical, visual, verbal, logical, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic, existential, and moral.*
Our curriculum for our Preschool and Elementary Sunday School classes is Growing in Grace & Gratitude. Growing in Grace & Gratitude is rooted in the foundation of Presbyterian identity where God’s grace and our gratitude are the heartbeat of our faith, life, and worship. The curriculum extends an invitation to discipleship that inspires children to learn and practice hospitality, generosity, and love, and it reaches beyond Sunday morning, encouraging children to live their lives as an expression of God’s grace. Our teachers for the preschool class are Amber Daves, Diana Robinson, and Jordan Lupton. Our teachers for the elementary school class are Jo-Anne Woodruff, Chad Hefner, and Elizabeth Pratson.
Our Youth Sunday School class is a combined class of our middle and high school youth. This year the youth will be rotating through a series of classes that include Bible study, topic study, prayer practices, and mission work. The youth will be given input on what interests them in each of these areas. We will be using different curriculum to explore each area included but not limited to: The Wired Word, Feasting on the Word, Youth Emmaus, and Praying in the Messiness of Life by Linda Douty. Teachers for this class are Claire Capps, Randy Sellers, Andre Pierce and Mary Todd Peters.
