Summer with “the Flat Faithful”

Years ago, a teacher began a project called “Flat Stanley” to boost literacy.  The gist of the project is this:  participants send a cartoon picture of the book character Flat Stanley to someone else, who takes a photo with the cartoon and sends in a journal of the character’s “travels.”  On the project website, you can see all the countries Flat Stanley has visited.

Mary Todd, our Director of Christian Education, has developed a 2019 Family Faith Folder to help summer travelers take faith with them over the summer.  The folder includes “Flat Jesus”, “Flat Mary” and “Flat Martha.”

Take a folder and take photos of the “Flat Faithful” this summer!  Send those photos to Mary Todd, who will make them into a bulletin board.  If you want to illustrate another Bible character and take a picture with him or her, please do!

Looking forward to your “Flat Faithful” photos!
